DMCA policy

Effective 19 August 2026

Novel Holmes respects the intellectual property rights of others. If you are a rights holder (or an authorized agent) and believe that a title, cover image, description, or external link surfaced by the service infringes your copyright, follow the notice-and-takedown process below. We handle valid notices promptly and in good faith.

How to send a notice

Send your notice to dmca@novelholmes.com. Include:

  1. Your full legal name, address, phone number, and email address.
  2. A description of the copyrighted work you claim is infringed, with a link or citation identifying the original work.
  3. A description of where the allegedly infringing material appears on Novel Holmes (a URL, novel title, or search query is fine).
  4. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  5. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the owner (or authorized to act on behalf of the owner) of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
  6. Your physical or electronic signature.

What we do

Counter-notice

If your material was removed or disabled by mistake, you can send a counter-notice to the same address containing:

  1. Your identifying information as in a normal notice.
  2. Identification of the material and its previous location.
  3. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification.
  4. A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of an appropriate federal court and will accept service of process from the person who filed the original notice.
  5. Your physical or electronic signature.

Misuse

Knowingly filing a false claim can create legal liability. Notices sent for competitive, harassment, or censorship reasons will be rejected.
